Servicing Done Right
Quality You Deserve
Sharks Scuba Servicing provides high quality testing and servicing for your scuba diving equipment
giving you peace of mind while scuba diving.
We're an Approved ASSET Cylinder Test Station with manufactures technician qualification for all major brands. we have over 10 years experience in the scuba servicing industry and over 20 years in the recreational scuba diving industry in the UK and overseas.
Scuba equipment requires regular Maintenance, Servicing and Testing. Failure to do so can and will result in equipment failure, invalidate warranties and dive insurances. if you are working in the scuba industry you're subject to the Acop (See Approved Code of Practice) or similar.
Cylinders will not be refilled unless they're in test and have the correct identification stamp markings and labels. you will not be able to participate in diving activities unless you can prove your equipment has been tested/ serviced, which could end up in you missing out diving or extra costs hiring dive equipment!

Regulators and BCD's require servicing annually or every 100-200 dives depending on manufacture.
Club and dive centre regulators and BCD'S require inspecting every 6 months and servicing annual.
Parts wear out over time and lubricants dry out causing equipment to malfunction and not perform properly.
All dive equipment is serviced on site with genuine parts and set up to manufactures specifications.

Scuba cylinders require hydrostatic testing (hydro) and valve service every 5 years from the date of manufacture.
A visual inspection (Periodic inspection) and valve service is required within 2 ½ years from the date of manufacture or the last hydrostatic test. If the visual test is missed then the cylinder will require a hydrostatic test.

Air Gun Charging Cylinders require hydrostatic testing (hydro) and valve service every 5 years from the date of manufacture or if a visual test date has been missed. To meet the regulations for being an Air Gun Charging Cylinder, the cylinder valve must be a surface use only valve, i.e. must include gauge and pressure bleed.

Scuba cylinders which are used with an air gun charging adapter will fall under the same regulations as scuba cylinders, as they “can” be used underwater, even if this is not what you are using it for.

All cylinders are tested on-site in our Approved Test Station to BS EN ISO 18119, BS EN ISO 24431, BS EN ISO 22434, BS EN ISO 13341, BS EN ISO 13769, BS EN ISO 8504-2, BS 7079 D2, BS EN ISO 7225, ASSET CP2.
